Born into a family of Cambodian immigrants, they experienced firsthand the challenges of limited resources and support as a queer individual. Volunteering at Revere Youth in Action during high school sparked their passion for community service in Revere. They later worked in municipal roles, providing aid to residents.

The COVID-19 pandemic further highlighted these challenges but also showcased the community's resilience with adequate resources. This inspired them to continue empowering young people in their current role. Their journey demonstrates a commitment to inclusive environments where everyone can thrive, regardless of their background.
