What We Do
Youth Empowerment
We build youth power through organizing, direct education justice services and working in coalition for social change. Our current work includes civic action, education justice and working with the Revere Education Justice Alliance (REJA) and regional youth justice coalitions.
Educate
We offer an array of workshops facilitated by our youth participants. Some topics we have covered in the past are: Ethnic Studies, Cambodian history, affirmative action and the college process.

Youth Employment
We employ a group of youth leaders and organizers for our School Year program, spanning from Spring to Summer, and our Summer program.
Through empowering youth with the necessary skills and resources, we can create a generation of capable and confident individuals ready to contribute positively to society.
I Have A Future Rally, 2022
We have participated in the I Have A Future rallies for the past three years. The goal of the rallies is to create structural change related to the racist and economically unjust structures that criminalize and limit the employment opportunities of young people of color in Massachusetts. We believe that to create this structural change we must change the political weather around the issues of youth employment and youth criminalization by moving the public. We must change the dominant narratives surrounding how young people of color are seen. We must win specific policy victories so that young people of color are no longer oppressed by the criminal justice system and are instead given employment opportunities.
Voter Outreach, 2018
RYiA has conducted voter outreach since the creation of the organization in 2013. Through our work, there has been a 6% percent increase in new voters within Revere’s ward 2, our precinct of focus. Voter outreach and community engagement increase representation, empower underserved areas, inform choices, bridge knowledge gaps, boost civic involvement, and build support systems.
